Boarhunt Barn Dance - Saturday July 20th

After the successful children’s Christmas party and Easter Egg hunt, we are now organising something for those of us a little older.

Bring your friends and family and come and join in a “Western themed” barn dance to be held in the Recreational grounds of Boarhunt Village, in Trampers Lane.  Fancy dress welcome!

Seating will be on straw bales, so bring a chair if you prefer more comfort!

This is a ticketed event for anyone aged 13 and above and tickets will be issued on a first come first served basis.

The country music starts at 1900 hrs.

Hog roast available from 1930 to 2100 hrs (vegetarian option available but must be requested at time of booking).

Licensed bar from 1900 hrs to 2300 hrs, but you are welcome to bring your own drink and nibbles.

Dancing starts at 2000 hrs and finishes around 2215 hrs.

Bucking Bronco available from 2000-2200 hrs.

Hampshire Connect & Southwick Area Taxishare

What is the Southwick Area Taxishare?

It is a public transport service for anyone who needs to travel from Wickham, Soberton Heath, Newtown, Hundred Acres, North Boarhunt or Southwick to QA Hospital or Cosham. The service is similar to a bus service, except that passengers will need to book in advance and the journey will be operated by a taxi instead of a bus.

How much will it cost?

From 1 April 2023, the service will cost £1* for each single journey. Children under 5 may travel free. 

*Prices valid as of April 2023, subject to change in April 2024.
